Jade Planner FAQ

Questions about refined judgment and approved plans.

Jade Planner is an evidence-first planning and decision OS: connect work systems, preserve operating context, and keep humans in control before plans affect execution systems.

Why is it called Jade?

Jade has long stood for clarity, integrity, and value revealed through refinement. Jade Planner aims for that quality in strategy work: examine evidence, align advisors, and turn judgment into an approved plan. A further historical resonance is Zhou Yu (周瑜), whose name and courtesy name both evoke fine jade and whose legacy is often associated with clear assessment and coordinated action — presented as resonance, not as a confirmed naming story. The product is not military-themed software.

Is Jade Planner replacing Linear or GitHub?

No. Linear remains the system of record for issues and projects. GitHub remains the system of record for implementation evidence. Jade Planner is the planning and decision layer above them: rooms, recommendations, review gates, and controlled updates.

What kind of product is Jade Planner?

An evidence-first planning and decision operating system for software portfolios — the calm room where groups turn different perspectives into clear judgment, approved strategy, and coordinated action.

How does Jade Planner help teams move quickly without losing control?

It separates suggestion from authority. Evidence and drafts can move quickly; material changes wait for human approval before they return to execution systems.

What is Operating Intelligence?

An evidence-first layer that scores freshness, completeness, traceability, risk, and review readiness; produces explainable recommendations; and tracks whether people accepted, dismissed, or requested more evidence.

Can the operating model be customized?

Yes. Planning taxonomies, working groups, views, access, templates, and reporting rituals can be configured for an organization without hardcoding one company’s structure into the core product.

Who builds and operates Jade Planner?

Jade Planner is created by Nexartis, LLC as part of the CubiCube product family for owned, configurable software experiences.
